About Skyview Magic Lodge

Built in 1989 as a herb and flower drying shed, the Lodge was home for Jef and Robina until building their present home 300 metres away in 2001.

A garage with large bedroom above was added in 1993 and the main structure was remodelled in 2003. Entirely wood inside and out (except bathrooms), the natural feel and timeless look of the rooms is genuine.

An efficient, fully appointed kitchen is part of the open area encompassing the living/dining rooms. There is also a bedroom (super king bed), full bathroom and laundry facilities on the ground level.

Upstairs are 2 large bedrooms (queen futon and super king beds) with en-suites and a mezzanine with 2 long single beds. A large wood burner provides main room heating in the winter (dry firewood provided) along with under floor heating in the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms.

An extra large (400 litre) hot water cylinder provides plenty of hot water piped individually to different areas to maintain personal flow while others are using other facilities. Sky TV, DVD, stereo/CD player and local telephone are provided (please bring your own CD's). We have an ADSL wireless modem set up in the lodge now, free for your use.  There is an Ethernet cable for you to hook in directly to a laptop or you can connect by cordless wireless.

The climbing wall is accessed from outside the building to curtail usage by unsupervised children. The pool and trampoline are 100 metres away.
